Custom built Tree Houses are the ultimate backyard play space. Each TimberTotsTM Tree House is individually
custom designed and then built right on site to exacting specifications. Large 6" x 6" timbers installed in concrete
footings are used to create the base. The framework for which the platform and the play house will sit is
constructed using 2" x 8" timbers every 16" and doubled up around the outside to create a 3" x 8" beam around
the perimeter of the platform. Each platform then has 5/4" x 6" cedar decking installed on top using epoxy coated
decking screws. Once the main platform structure is in, with the decking boards installed, the play house itself is
built and installed on top. The walls for each play house are 6' high and fabricated using 2" x 4" studs all around
and covered with 1/2" spruce sheathing, with the door and widows cut in to homeowner specification. The roof
rafters are also constructed using 2"x 4" spruce studs with plywood gussets at the peak; installed every 24" and
covered with 1/2" spruce sheathing. The exterior of each play house is covered using 3/4" x 8" beveled cedar
siding with cedar shingles finishing off the roof. The doors and windows are then hand made to ensure an exact
fit. Each window is constructed using either 1/8" thick unbreakable LexanTM panels for smaller windows or 1/4"
thick panels for the larger picture windows. Each Tree House is then finished off by installing a durable 3' high
baluster hand rail all around the balcony, stairs or ramps. TimberTotsTM Tree Houses are only available in
